The White Party is one of those events we can’t wait to produce every summer, and our 2013 party can probably be better described as a “Wine Party Dressed in White.” There is something magical about all of the guests showing up in white with nothing more on their agenda than sipping wine and enjoying the long summer evening. Our 2013 White Party featured DJ Randolph, a PUREfourhundred favorite, and yes, 2014’s White Party event is going to be elevated to an entirely new level. We’ve locked down a 16 million dollar luxury estate in the Canyons in Park City, and have been putting together the wine event of the year in partnership with our host sommelier, Kirsten Fox, and Culinary Wine Experiences.

Can’t wait for the PUREfourhundred White Party? We can’t either, but in the meantime, host a  summer wine party of your own:

•    Choose the wine you want to feature and the corresponding dress code
•    Invite your friends and have them bring two bottles of the SAME brand of wine – our 2013 party featured chardonnays.
•    As guests arrive, have them write their names on both of their bottles – one will go into the blind tasting, the other into the winners pool.
•    Cover the wine bottles with numbered bags
•    Provide guests with a scoring card with ranking instructions – we do 1 – 5 with 5 being AMAZING and 1 being “I would never drink this wine EVER!”
•    Once guests turn in their scoring cards, tabulate the average score for each bottle.  The bottle with the highest score wins.
•    The top three winners split the winners pool – First place gets 50% of the bottles, second gets 30% and third gets 20%.
•    The loser has to take the bottle back.
